Scary movie night

So Melissa and I are big scary movie fans. She is more daring than me, it took me years to watch Saw, come to find out it wasnt that bad. Anywho, tonight is scary movie night, and were going to watch the strangers with Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman. I saw it when it came out in theatres and it scared the living crap out of me. So I told Melissa when it came out on DVD we would watch it together. I'm getting scared just thinking about watching it! Good thing I have two attack dogs to protect me when I go home :)

My dad

My dad's goodbye party....
and his cake!

About a month ago I got a call that would change my family's life, a change for the better. My dad called me on a Friday night at 10:30pm. He said in his soft loving voice, "Sarah, I am resigning from EMF". My response was shock, sadness, anxiety and disbelief but throught all of these emotions I felt a calmness that only comes from God. He knew what he was doing, and God had his hand over this situation. My dad explained that God had been speaking to him for a while about leaving EMF.... Wow, 22 years and he is moving on. Being here without him is just weird. I still havent adjusted.

But I will say this, God has BIG things for my dad.

My birthday

My sister in law Becky and I at my birthday dinner.

My team surprised me at a meeting!
They even made me a birthday book!My birthday flowers from Kathy, they died over the weekend. Who knew you had to change the water??!!!

Me and Stevie and my preston look-a-like animal from Colette

I had such a great 26th birthday! It all started last Saturday, Shelly took me to a movie, we saw Nights in Rodanthe, we cried through the whole thing! Then Monday night was dinner with the family at my favorite restaraunt the Olive Garden. Whenever my family all gets together there is laughter and lots of it. My mom even decided to tell one of the good looking waiters that I was single and thought he was cute. Leave it up to her to embarrass me on my birthday. Wednesday was my actual birthday and my friends at work spoiled me! Flowers, gifts and a wonderfuly decorated cubicle. Monica even wrapped my stapler for me :)

Valerie showed up with the kids and brought me cupcakes, she's such a great friend. Then Saturday night Melissa and I went to dinner and a movie.... date night. hehe! We saw Blindness, which I do not recommend even renting at blockbuster. It was completely pointless....

Nonetheless we had a great time. So that ends my birthday celebrations, this is going to be a great year, I can just feel it!

Today is a sad day....

Today is a sad day for me, as for many here at work. Our Stevie is leaving us to move to Ohio, her husband got a job transfer. I suggested divorce, but that didnt go over well. I guess I will have to learn to cope without her smiling face.
She is the one who turned me on to this whole blogging world. Stevie.... you have become a great friend, a friend for life. I love you!
